We are pleased to announce the third session of the ÖGEM Spring 2024 graduate seminar series. Dr. Bron Eager will present a seminar titled "Enhancing Academic Research with AI: Strategies for Crafting Literature Reviews" on Thursday, June 13, at 2:00 pm via Microsoft Teams. BIO
Dr. Bron Eager is an 'Applied AI Enthusiast' dedicated to sharing her knowledge on the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education contexts. With a diverse background spanning industry roles, academic teaching, research, and consultancy, she is passionate about fostering digital literacy, nurturing entrepreneurship, and advancing the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Eager has made significant contributions to AI in higher education, guiding hundreds of educators globally in their initial steps toward AI integration. Her extensive experience is underpinned by a PhD in Entrepreneurship, a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MEI), a Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching (Higher Education), and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Currently, she serves as a Senior Lecturer at the College of Business and Economics at the University of Tasmania in Australia. Beyond her academic role, she provides AI training and resources. SEMINAR DESCRIPTION
Join Dr. Bron Eager as she shares her expertise in applying AI tools to the literature review process. The seminar will cover practical AI tools for identifying relevant literature, generating and synthesizing paper summaries, performing thematic analysis, and drafting preliminary literature reviews. The discussion will be based on her co-authored paper, “Insights into the application of AI-augmented research methods for informing accounting practice: the development – through AI – of accountability-related prescriptions pertaining to seasonal work,” published in Meditari Accountancy Research. The session will include interactive discussion and a dedicated Q&A segment.
