Dear Students,

The intense academic workload, exams, and daily responsibilities can sometimes lead to stress. Would you like to learn how to manage your stress in a healthier way, strengthen your emotional resilience, and develop effective coping strategies?

Organized with this purpose, the "Psychoeducation Group on Managing Stress and Developing Healthy Coping Strategies" seeks to empower students to manage stress more effectively, cultivate self-awareness, and improve their overall well-being.

1. What is a Psychoeducation Group?

It is a small group activity consisting of 10 participants, meeting once a week for 90 minutes over a period of 6 weeks.

Sessions are conducted by a psychological counselor specialized in the field.

Throughout the group process, topics such as the nature of stress, the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, mindfulness, and healthy coping strategies will be addressed.

2. Who can apply?

The group is open only to undergraduate students of METU Ankara Campus.

The group sessions will be conducted in Turkish.

3. When and where will it take place?

The first session will be held face-to-face on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 14:40 in the ÖGEM Meeting Room, 4th Floor, Central Engineering Building.

4. How long will the group continue?

The group consists of 6 sessions, each lasting 90 minutes.

Meetings will be held on the same day and time each week.

5. Is regular attendance required?

Yes. The group process is designed as a whole, in this regard regular participation is expected.

Regular participation ensures that participants gain the maximum benefit and maintain the continuity of group interaction.
