Dear students,

The aim of the Academic Achievement Psycho-Education Group is to support our students in academic subjects such as academic achievement, motivation, procrastination and effective studying.

1. What is Prep. School Academic Achievement Psycho-Education Group?

Academic Achievement Psycho-Education Group is a group counseling process with a group 12 people coming together once a week for 90 minutes. The group process lasts six weeks and is guided by a professional leader. There is a pre-defined problem area (such as overcoming procrastination, effective studying, time management, etc.) in this type of group counseling. It is a professional process which includes intensive information exchange and active participation of students.

2. Who can apply?

METU PREP SCHOOL students can apply to the group. In group sessions, Turkish language will be used.

3. When and where will it be?

The first session of the Prep. School Academic Achievement Psycho-Education Group is going to be held on 13 February 2020, Thursday at 16.00 in the ÖGEM meeting hall (room number 425) located on the 4th floor of the Central Engineering Building (MM).

4. How long will the group continue?

The group consists of a total of 6-week sessions, each session lasting approximately one and a half hours.

5. Is attendance to the group compulsory?

Students, whose applications were confirmed by ÖGEM, have to attend the first group session, otherwise they will lose their right to continue to the group. It is also required to attend the other sessions (except health problems and conflict with an exam).

6. How can I register?

You can register to the group till 17:00 pm on February 11, 2020 using the Prep. School Academic Achievement Psycho-Education Group registration form. 

7. How can I confirm my application?

Applicants will be informed about the confirmation of their application by ÖGEM via e-mail or phone call in February 12, 2020.
